• Shop and checkout: Orders are processed by Square. Square collects payment, billing, and shipping details you provide at checkout. We receive order confirmations through Square for fulfillment.
• Custom stamp orders: Text and customization notes you add to cart items are passed to Square with your order so we can produce your stamp.
• Pop-up estimates: Information you submit in our estimate embed (hosted at hellahandcarved.site or a configured URL) may be stored by our estimate provider and used to respond to your inquiry.
• Support: If you email support@hellahandcarved.com, we keep your message and contact details to respond.
• Local storage: Your cart, theme preference, and cookie consent choice may be saved in your browser so the site works across visits.

Cookies and similar technologies

We group cookies and browser storage into the categories below. You can accept or reject non-essential cookies when you first visit, and change your choice anytime using Cookie preferences in the site footer.

• Essential (always on): Cart contents, theme (dark/light), cookie consent record, and session dismissals for banners. These are needed for shopping, checkout, and basic site function. Legal basis (EU/UK): legitimate interests and, where applicable, contract performance.

Retention

We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes above. Order and fulfillment records are retained as required for business, tax, and legal purposes (typically several years). Support emails are kept while we handle your request and for a reasonable period afterward. Analytics and chat data are governed by Google and Chatway retention settings when those services are enabled. Cookie consent choices remain in your browser until you clear site data or change preferences in the footer.

Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing, and to data portability. Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time via Cookie preferences in the footer.
