About
Our goal
Hella Hand Carved is a mobile block printing studio dedicated to making art accessible. We share block printing across the Bay Area to cultivate joyful spaces where collective care and creativity thrive.
Our story
Hella Hand Carved began with a simple belief: hands-on art should feel welcoming wherever people gather. What started as carving stamps and printing at small gatherings has grown into a studio that travels with its presses, inks, and carved blocks.
Today we show up at pop-ups, workshops, and community events across the Bay Area—inviting guests to pull prints, try block printing, and take home hand-carved stamps. Every event is a chance to build connection through creativity.
Our approach
Joy-centered
We cultivate joyful spaces where collective care and creativity thrive, making hands-on art feel welcoming at every event and workshop.
Community-driven
We are community-centered at our core, empowering voices and supporting grassroots solidarity through live printing and local partnerships.
Sustainability-focused
We encourage reuse over waste by offering select used stamps at a steep discount and inviting guests to BYO clothes to stamp, helping reduce consumption.
